Additional AEMT Course Information and Clinical requirements
The AEMT course that we offer is an online course with 41 chapters, 41 quizzes, 9 section tests and a final exam. Each section has a pre-recorded lecture so that you can do all the online work on your own time as quickly as you would like.
After you have completed the online portion of the course you will be required to attend the hands-on training at our facility in Post Falls Idaho for 6 days. During this training, you will be given the Psychomotor Examination and trained on all skills tested on. After that training, you will be required to do the Clinical portion of the course.
There are two options for completing your clinical rotations.
Option #1: Complete all online coursework. Attend the hands on training and Psychomotor exam, then stay a week longer for clinical rotations with our affiliations. You are responsible for hotel, food and transportation for the week of clinical rotations, but we cover you for the week of skills. Then you will return home and take the NRAEMT Cognitive Exam at a PearsonVue Testing Center near you.
Option #2: Complete all online coursework. Come to the skills week and take the Psychomotor Exam and then return home to complete clinical rotations with your agency or ER with your affiliation agreement. Log requirements on the FISDAP and once all requirements are met, you will be given permission to take the NRAEMT Cognitive Exam at a PearsonVue Testing Center near you.
